Why Do Links Matter In A Website?

Without links, the web would be a very different place. An image without a link is just an image. A video without a link is just a video. Without links, we’d all have to search through every website and scroll through every page to find information. Luckily, thanks to hyperlinks, we can all get from point A to point B with one click of our mouse or tap of our screen.

As a website owner, it’s your job to make sure that your site is seen as credible by search engines like Google. A link from another site gives the impression that yours is an authority on the topic being discussed. The more links there are pointing at your content the more trust and authority you’ll have with Google when someone searches for keywords related to what your site covers.

Links Are How Humans Navigate The Web

Links are an essential component of a website. Links help users navigate through your site, and they can also be used to display additional information. Links are also used to provide a means of sharing information with other websites, which can increase your website’s traffic.

For example, if you’re looking for information about dog training, you might type “how to train a dog” into Google. If you do that right now, the first result is going to be Wikipedia’s article on dog training. That’s because Wikipedia has been linked to by thousands of other sites over the years—so many that when Google indexes the web, it gives Wikipedia some extra points just because it’s so popular among other websites.

Links help users find what they’re looking for. Links make a web page useful by helping users navigate the Web, find other websites they might be interested in, and answer their questions. They also help users find information that they need, products they want to buy, and more.
